The beauty spot of the Main Peak of the Dabie Mountains in Hubei province lies north of Yingshan county, northeast of Hubei province, and south of the Dabie Mountains. It is a national forest park with a total area of 30.2km2. The rainfall averages 1430mm a year. The yearly temperature averages 12.5oC, and in summer the average temperature is 22oC. The climate is quite pleasant with synchronous temperature and sunshine, rain and warmth in the same season, four distinctive seasons, no chilliness in winter and no extreme heat in summer. In the area the percentage of forest cover is as much as 96% with a perfect preserves of forest eco-system and rich varieties of animals and plants. Now there are 1105 kinds of plants and 344 kinds of animals, which becomes one of the seven national biological gene banks.
